We've played with the possibility of Peter being mentally unbalanced yet I figure it doesn't work . Because you're a social untouchable, that doesn't mean you're medically introverted. In the event that Peter has Aspergers/Autism, it must be a mellow case since he appears to be composed. Trust us, a few people with Aspergers can be extremely difficult to manage.

When Star Trek TNG was released on Blu-ray, We  saw commentaries and interviews  we had never seen and Brent Spiner said that an autistic fan approached him to tell him that he (the fan) related to Data for being unable to related to the rest of the characters and had the character progression to assimilate into personable culture. We get that comparison, but I don't see it with Peter Parker. Especially not after the '80s when comics changed and the culture that went into created and reading them drastically changed and the audience didn't need as much telegraphed to them
