Guy, 37, was coming off a poor season and would have had to survive the first competition of his 14-year career in coaching camp to keep his job. The Raiders, however, do not appear to have asked this retirement. Another Raider celebrity sailed off Raider Valhalla Tuesday when the group punter for the ages, Ray Guy, declared his retirement.
